Yes, New Loving

How ‘bout you get out?
Don’t look back, tip your hat
I’ll roll back over
Pretend that it’s all over
As in dream, it would seem
You fade in, in black jeans
Your hands, they are clean
To the rest so it seems
How ‘bout you get out?
Don’t look back, tip your hat
I’ll roll back over
Pretend that it’s all over
But me, I’m in need
Of some T, some TLC
But me, I’m in need
Of some T, some TLC

Ten Times Ten
03:23
|
|||
Comes around again, familiar sort of game
Smacks me ‘round and says you haven’t changed
It’s every now and then when you fuck up again
And I realize you haven’t changed
It’s every now and then when you fuck up again
And I realize you haven’t changed
Pick myself up, tread through the dust
Discarded and fleeting, you haven’t changed
You come around again, it’s ten times ten
And I realise you haven’t changed
You will not change, these things will stay the same
In ruins and in flames, you cannot change
Comes around again, familiar sort of game
Smacks me ‘round and says you haven’t changed
Pick myself up, tread through the dust
Discarded and fleeting, you haven’t changed
You come around again, it’s ten times ten
And it comes out that you haven’t changed

Fall on Death
02:58
|
|||
I found you, floating over ways
I found you, dreams of better days
I saw you, warmth among the days
I never knew you to waste a day
Hello, what’s your name?
You look like a James
Hello, what’s your name?
You look like a game
I made you, from bricks and clay
I made you, from strands of hay
I made you face your grey doomsday
I made you fall on death anyway
Hello, what’s your name?
You look like a James to me
Hi, what’s your name, boy?
You look like an Eric
Answer me!
Don’t be afraid!
Answer me!
I made you, from bricks and clay
I made you, from strands of hay
I made you face your grey doomsday
I made you fall on death anyway
Hello, what’s your name?
You look like a James
Hello, what’s your name?
You look like a game

Debutantes
02:38
|
|||
Now you know we don’t care
We are one with our despair
We can fake it like we were not there
We pretend that we are happy to share it
Debutantes
We are all debutantes
We are all
I can see into the sun
(I can see over the sun where…)
I don’t know what I’ve become
(I can say it’s begun...)
Am I free from this disease?
(I can ache for you when you are gone)
I was never one to fall in with ease
(I remember all that has gone)
Debutantes
We are all debutantes
We are all debutantes
Debutantes

Adventures
02:48
|
|||
Not in trouble as long as they don’t know
Lost in rubble of nature’s inferno
Two kids wandering over land and under
We reach water and perch by the river
Not in trouble as long as they don’t know
Lost in likeness our hesitant shadow
Two kids walking, late day adventuring
Only we know where we’re venturing
Not in trouble as long as they don’t know
Lost in rubble of nature’s inferno
Sun is sinking below the tree line
Time can’t turn back but someday we’ll be fine
Not in trouble as long as they don’t know
Lost in rubble of nature’s inferno
Not in trouble as long as they don’t know
Lost in rubble of nature’s inferno
Sun is sinking below the tree line
Time can’t turn back but someday we’ll be fine

Back Flip
02:58
|
|||
I was a girl
Wandering the roads
Alone, wanting what
I didn’t know
But I could see
Things would go so far
If I could keep
My wits about me
My ally in this
This game of thieves
I’d end up so far gone
It’s okay
I’ll be back flip girl
Flipping all day
Throw me into reverse
Make it all go away
I was a girl
Wandering the roads
Alone, wanting what
I didn’t know
But I could see
Things would go so far

Rock Face
02:03
|
|||
They come around, you hit the ground
You don’t see how it looks to me
They gut you out, no “how about?”
No place for me to be at ease
Rock face, put your rock face on
Rock face, put your rock face on
Your rock face on
I hate your friends, let’s not pretend
Let’s not be nice, no reason to try
I hate that they make me hate you
I hate you when you’re with your crew
Rock face, put your rock face on
Rock face, put your rock face on
Your rock face on
Where did you go?
Where did you go?
Where did you go?
Where did you go?

Beyond Pale and Ageless
04:47
|
|||
Emotion is physical
How can you separate the two?
I feel it, my congested chest
The presence heavy and unwelcome
I never invited you in
But you are not a vampire
Not in the physical sense
The whole scheme is eating at me
My insides, dissolving
Under pressure
I do not know the cause of it
I hope she didn’t feel like this
I hope she was weak
And had stupid reasons
For saying goodbye
“I’ll talk to you later”
Her last words: a lie
But I’m being selfish
I know what plagued her
Clung on so tenaciously
That she could not breathe
I wish I’d gone with her...
I just walk along feeling hopeless
Knowing I’m helpless
I’m broken and bitter
I’m broken and stupid

Red
03:58
|
|||
In the dark, the sunny red eyes
And nothing to feel but bled
Have me now, black swamp eyes
Far from the red pinpricks of light
Have me now
Black swamp eyes
Have me now
Can’t get up today
My staring eyes
Will I fall apart?
Just breathe
Find a moment, drain my eyes
See red and inhale as required
Have me now, black swamp eyes
Far from the red pinpricks of light
Have me now
Black swamp eyes
Have me now
Can’t get up today
My staring eyes
Things will fall apart
Just breathe
Must get up today
Face your black eyes
Get up, get dressed, get gone
Heal my eyes

Glossary Head
02:51
|
|||
Don’t glance around
Just throw the body down
No one is around
No need to go on tip toes
Just do it
Lose your head
Raid your glossary
Glossary head
Legs go in last
Bend her head and
Bury her, dance over
Pretty ballerina
Pretty ballerina
Don’t glance around
Don’t glance around
Don’t glance around
Don’t glance around

The Obituary
04:00
|
|||
Believe it or not
I remember what you said that night
How clearly I remember
You were not dismembered
You were not in the doorway
No cooling yet
It was an early night
We were not alone although
We thought we were alone
You were not dismembered
You were not in the doorway
No cooling yet
Frost on the windshield
Frost on our future
Frozen was all hope
You were not dismembered
You were not in the doorway...
I can’t hear what you’re saying
It wouldn’t do me good
You would destroy all that’s good
You are not dismembered
You are not in the doorway
No cooling yet

Song
03:41
|
|||
Pluck me like a song
Come, string me along
Throw me at the sky
Scorn me when I cry
Sing me like a song
It won’t take too long
Burn the river dry
Shatter me with fright
For though I sing this song
It’s all turned out wrong
All that you could take
Is all that you will break
Scream me like a song
And you’ll come out strong
Scream me like a song
And you’ll come out strong
Pluck me like a song
Come, string me along
Throw me at the sky
Scorn me when I cry
Sing me like a song
It won’t take too long
Burn the river dry
Shatter me with fright
